Abstract

Observing the condition of the pavement is required as a further stage in the research on campus sidewalks. This study aimed to evaluate the condition of the sidewalk located on the main line of Lampung University (Unila). The object of this study is the sidewalk in Jalan Soemantri Brojonegoro (SB Street). The method used in this research is the method of observation. Observations made by walking on SB Street which is the main route Unila Campus. Observations include documentation (photos) on any findings of different pavement conditions. Photos are categorized and sorted by zones that have been defined to facilitate the matching process between zones. Then, the content analysis performed to find keywords related to the condition of the existing pavement. Furthermore, analysis of the distribution is used to determine the dominant factors contained in the pathways. This study concluded that the dominant factor that was found on the sidewalk in SB Street are obstacles, different elevation levels, broken, weeds (the grass), and dirty. In addition, the quality aspect is an aspect that is more dominant compared to the design aspect. That is, the quality of the pavement is a priority compared to other aspects.
