jailcd2017079: Comparative Analysis for Green Transport Indicators of Eco-city Evaluation System

Abstract

Improvement of green transport is key strategy for European cities to solve global climate change, provide better environment to live and realize the eco-city development. Development of green transport system is not only the creative solution for urban traffic problems, but the basis of low-carbon city for European cities. Transport is essential part in all sorts of green city evaluation system. This paper at first analysis and compare the transport indicators in related green city evaluation systems in Europe , Asia and China, then summarize their features and practice results, at last propose the problem for China in green city planning and practice. We hope that experience from European green city can be learned for Chinese cities to realize the sustainable development based on the green transport plan.
