It is an urgent and arduous task all over the world to protect the ecological environment and take the road of sustainable development, especially in China. The traditional houses in Ankang have the typical characteristics of Chinese traditional houses. The local building materials (rammed earth, pine and mud grass compound, etc.) used for the enclosure structure are typical traditional ecological buildings, which need less production and processing energy, can be recycled, and almost have no negative impact on the outside world. Therefore, the heat and moisture transfer performance of the enclosure is worthy of further study. This paper attempts to explore the original ecological building experience and technology of traditional residential buildings through experimental testing and field investigation, and carry out reasonable quantification and scientific diagnosis and interpretation of local construction experience. So as to guide the local residents to build buildings that not only conform to the ecological environment, traditional culture, but also the flavor of the times, and ultimately achieve the goal of sustainable development of human settlements. On the basis of extensive reference to the research status of Chinese traditional residential buildings and the latest progress of heat transfer of enclosure structure, the following work has been completed: the thermal physical performance parameters of building materials of local traditional residential buildings have been tested, and the indoor thermal environment of local buildings has been tested and investigated on site, and the comfort degree of indoor thermal environment has been analyzed. The experimental data is the first-hand data, which lays the foundation for further research. For the local unique rammed earth materials, this is the first test in China. The on-site indoor thermal environment test shows that there are some deficiencies in the indoor thermal comfort of traditional residential buildings. In this paper, the problem is analyzed and studied, and the strategy of optimizing the indoor thermal environment comfort is explored.
