The development of healthy buildings has been continuously promoted with the concept of "people-oriented". Especially, the attack of the COVID-19 epidemic makes people realize that the importance of building environment for human health. At the same time, healthy buildings play an important role in promoting the sustainable development of buildings. With the development of the data era, the advantages of parameterization and three-dimensional visual modeling shown by BIM in the application of the whole life cycle of buildings can enable the rapid integration of standard analysis and information analysis between the simulation results of building environment and the evaluation standards of healthy buildings, which is convenient for the continuous optimization of building performance. At present, how to build new buildings with BIM technology in a more environmental friendly and economic way or use existing buildings to transform and upgrade them into healthy buildings is an important issue facing healthy buildings. This paper reviewed the development and application of healthy buildings and BIM technology, with the aim to summarize how healthy buildings combine BIM technology to achieve green and low-carbon development, in order to provide inspiration for the sustainable development of healthy buildings.
