Abstract

Color is one of the most expressive and appealing elements of window space. Color not only affects one's senses but also affects one's entire life function and psychology. The change of color's status in the window can indicate that color has a unique expressive power in expressing the architect's inner feelings and psychology. In short, color in the window can not only create a loud visual effect, but also express the architect's subjective feelings and inner world. It is an important factor that makes the window spiritual and individual. Regardless of Chinese and Western architects, the exploration and pursuit of the expressive power of color psychology is a problem that cannot be ignored. In this chapter, the ability of window colors to express the psychological and emotional performance of architects is called the expressive power of window colors at the psychological level. This paper studies and compares the color expression of different architectural window space, and then analyzes the influence of color of different window space on people's psychological function, and finally summarizes how to use the psychological expression of color to increase the appeal of design works.
