jailcd2020016: Observations of Chinese City Architecture Biennale Driven by Economy

Abstract

The development of the city's economy and its biennale of architecture is taken as the research and comparison objects. First, the overall development and characteristics of the Chinese Architecture Biennale in the 70 years from 1949 to 2019 are introduced. Then 6 cities are selected as the survey objects by using statistical software and formulas. Furthermore, this paper explores the relationship between the economic development of the six cities and the architectural biennale held in chronological order. The conclusion of the study shows that, to a certain extent, the cities' architectural biennale has some positive correlations with their urban development.
