Abstract

The term sustainability is not the same for different situations. What to sustain, who to initiate, who to serve, and what is the best way to achieve it. For some people, sustainable development is all-encompassing. For others, these words are usually "environmental" and "environmentally", such as "environmental sustainability" or "environmentally sustainable development". (Agyeman, 2013, p4) When it comes to sustainability issues, the public stereotype does not fundamentally distinguish between sustainability and environmental issues, that is, sustainability is an environmental issue. Sustainability cannot be simply an environmental issue. The broader issue of social needs and welfare and economic opportunities is a genuinely sustainable society as a whole concerning the environmental constraints imposed by the ecosystem. (Agyeman et al. 2002 p. 78). The social impact is significant because of the achievement of sustainable development require each part of society to participate and work together. How to change policy and civic culture, support and ensure the need for action is the current focus; in other words, that is just sustainability. (Agyeman, 2019) The planning process contains the public and private interests, global and local perspectives. The differences between these perspectives will create conflicts, mainly when they cover different benefits.
