jailcd2021037: A new living pattern for improving Community Engagement: Targeting on Junior Engineers of HSIP
Keywords:
Reuse of Old Buildings, Unused Space, Sustainable DevelopmentAbstract
In recent years, family structure has changed due to urbanization, and the population of people who choose to live alone has become more common. In this dissertation, we choose junior engineers working in Hsinchu Science Park as our research target. Drawing from a prolonged working hour and a limited budget, these junior engineers usually lack contact with the community they live within and do not possess a close relationship with the neighborhood. With this context, we aim to explore possible architectural solutions to address this phenomenon, finding out how architecture can serve as a medium to integrate the engineers into the community and thus create an environment where they feel like a second home.
