Abstract

In recent years, the rapid development of the construction industry has led to an increase in the consumption of energy in China. At present, building energy consumption accounts for 30% of total social energy consumption, the most important of which is heating and air conditioning accounting for 20%. Therefore, saving building energy and improving building energy efficiency are of great significance for China to achieve energy conservation and emission reduction. The use of solar energy technology in current architectural design can make the building's energy demand meet, and make full use of solar energy resources to accelerate the development of the solar energy industry. If China successfully builds passive houses, it will greatly reduce the energy consumption demand for heating and cooling of houses, thus achieving energy conservation and emission reduction in the construction sector. This paper briefly introduces the distribution of solar energy in China and the development history of passive solar buildings. analyzes the principles, characteristics and considerations of passive solar building design, and considers the obstacles to the development of passive solar buildings in China.
