Abstract

In the government work report in early 2021, the Chinese government put forward the goal of "realizing peak carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060". China's commitment to achieving carbon neutrality from peak carbon dioxide emissions is far shorter than that of developed countries, which requires hard work. At present, the wave of urbanization promotes the unprecedented growth of the global construction industry, which poses a challenge to the efforts to rb climate change. Modern wood structure buildings have prolonged the carbon sequestration time of forests and reduced carbon emissions through long-term utilization of forest resources. Adhering to the concept of sustaicunable forest management to develop wood structure is a beneficial supplement to existing architectural forms and can contribute to carbon neutrality in the construction industry.
