jailcd2022034: A proposal for landscape enhancement of suburban roads based on landscape preference theory

Abstract

The enhancement of the landscape appearance of suburban roads is of great significance to the promotion of rural culture and the improvement of the suburban ecological environment. In order to explore how to enhance the landscape appearance of suburban roads, experiments on landscape preference were conducted using photo simulations and eye-tracking, based on landscape preference, and design recommendations were given to the study findings. The study found that the public prefers roads with richer and more saturated colours. It is recommended that the landscape appearance of the road be improved in all aspects through the enrichment of plant configuration levels, roadside signage system, reasonable construction of buildings along the road, integration of road construction into culture and strengthening ecological management.
