The dehumidifier is one of the effective technologies for building heat and humidity control and indoor thermal comfort construction. Affected by the outdoor climate environment, the operating conditions and effi-ciency of the dehumidifier fluctuate greatly. The DeST software was used to simulate the annual natural indoor temperature and humidity of a room in Xi 'an, and the annual hourly meteorological parameters were statisti-cally analyzed. The annual thermal and humid environment was divided into four types. The operation and efficiency of dehumidifier used in heating dehumidification zone and some parts of dehumidification zone are simulated and experimentally studied. The results show that in the heating dehumidification zone, the cooling capacity and heat in the dehumidifier are fully utilized, and the comprehensive operation efficiency is the highest. In the main part of dehumidification areas, although the indoor temperature is increased, the overall thermal comfort is significantly improved. The energy-saving and comfortable operation of dehumidifier should comprehensively consider the climate and environmental background, and the upper limit of tempera-ture and humidity control based on comfort standard should be set.
