Thermal comfort is one of the things that the body needs so that humans can move well, so they need to maintain thermal comfort standards for users. Thermal comfort is related to climate and heat. Many studies have been conducted to find out the thermal comfort of buildings inside. However, very little was researched in semi-outdoor space. Canteen of University of Bandar Lampung is the closest and most accessible dining place for students, lecturers and employees. This canteen is one of the places including semi-outdoor space. This research aims to find out how much energy is needed in canteen of University of Bandar Lampung which is measured to get optimal thermal comfort felt by the space user. The research method is descriptive qualitative. The data is obtained by distributing questionnaires to users to find out perceptions about thermal comfort. The results of this study could be a suggestion for canteen managers for improving thermal comfort.
