Global energy consumption is increasing, and building energy consumption accounts for about half of energy consumption. How to reduce indoor energy consumption and alleviate the energy crisis while improving indoor comfort has become an urgent problem to be solved. This paper analyzed the design methods of natural ventilation from different stages of scheme design, and discussed several strategies to achieve passive natural ventilation. By adopting passive building energy-saving methods, good natural ventilation design of traditional buildings can reduce the frequency of air conditioning and other indoor ventilation facilities in summer, winter, and transitional seasons. In the site layout stage, the introduction of natural wind and the introduction of water to adjust the airflow, and the use of PHOENICS wind simulation software to adjust the layout; In the single design stage, the plan should consider the introduction of natural wind from the gap and the use of the relatively staggered layout of the windows to guide the airflow. In section design, full consideration should be given to the use of draft shafts to enhance natural ventilation. It has certain guiding significance for the architect's natural ventilation design.
