The Pacific ring of fire put Indonesia as the most vulnerable country since various kinds of natural disasters such as tsunamis, earthquakes, landslides, floods, to volcanic activities frequently occur around it. Responding to disaster mitigation is substantial, more specifically post-disaster planning in providing houses for the victims even though houses is one of the most basic needs of human. The problems lies in the time that consumed for building new houses are more often not as effective to respond to the urgent needs. This paper discusses more about optional modular house construction for post-disaster mitigation in Indonesia that will also be a able to create a healthy impact both for residents and the environment. Several parameters are considered as innovative support such as effective building construction process, the efficient use of energy, beneficent utility networks, and environmentally friendly materials that applied. A series of literature studies and discussion, material studies, creating conceptual designs are conducted on the process. This paper is aimed to provide an informative and communicative guideline for construction workers in the process of building a more effective and efficient post-disaster housing development.
