jailcd2015021: Research on Sustainable Reuse Method of Old Plants in Universities: Take Reconstruction Project in Xi'an Jiaotong University as an Example

Abstract

With the development of university education and teaching conditions, some old plants in universities carrying decades of teaching history are facing the danger of being abandoned or demolished. This extensive handling of the old plants in universities will not only result in the waste of resources, but also the loss of campus history and unique cultural landscape. With colleges and universities in Xi’an as target objects, this research investigated on the status quo of the use of existing old plants on campus, made analysis on the basis of their historical context and the existing value, and applied the method of public design, as well as proposed the sustainable reuse method of old teaching plants in colleges and universities.
