Abstract

In today’s age of Globalization, the revival of a culture’s heritage through architecture is considered as a means to revive local identities and create a sense of belonging. Globalized architecture neglects the specific surroundings of the architecture and takes on a similar look. This is what regionalism architects strive to change. It is time to reflect on the climate and culture of the region and deign in a more rational way. Meanwhile, this paper analyses two representative figures of regionalism architecture design and takes a close look at their work in comparison to what we have achieved in regionalism architecture design in China.
