This paper explains RTD concept, content, framework and theoretical overview of academic significance, and discusses sustainable landscape architecture through constructive RTD method. The starting point of the study is to embedding constructivist into the context of sustainable design. It mainly studies landscape architecture from three aspects: interaction, psychological construction and social culture. The research results show that the constructive RTD method has a positive impact on the sustainable landscape architecture design. Meanwhile, constructivist is helpful to further establish an evaluable design framework in a wide range of landscape architecture design, thus inducing and explaining the design modes involved in the sustainable landscape architecture design, and also creating a new theoretical research paradigm for landscape architects. It emphasizes the interrelationship among psychological, aesthetic experience and social and cultural identity of design service objects in the context of sustainable landscape transformation. Understanding these relationships will provide a better understanding of the sustainable practices of landscape architecture.Downloads
