Abstract

Pedestrian bridge, in Indonesia it is called jembatan penyeberangan (JPO) may be seen in the big cities, especially in traffic areas. Provision of facilities for JPO deserves to be considered, especially in the segment Jl. Raden Inten is located exactly in front of the Ramayana Mall, Jl. R.A. Kartini precisely in front of the RM. Garuda, before Bambukuning, and next Pasartengah. JPO is in the main street of Bandarlampung which serves to reduce conflicts between pedestrians with vehicles passing. The main problem is the lack of level of use JPO and physical quality in terms of aesthetics. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that affect less effective pedestrian bridge for pedestrians on the region, and to know the visibility and influence on users. Observational research using descriptive method. From the observations it can be concluded that the construction of the pedestrian bridge is appropriate and feasible to support the comfort and safety of the pedestrian bridge but still lacking in terms of visibility, such a design is less attractive, color JPO and ornamental fence monotonous, there are no lights on each JPO so bridge users should be careful when night.
