jailcd2015038: Study on Present Situation of Street Width and Walk Trace in the Kurosaki District, Kitakyushu City

Abstract

Streets of Kurosaki district did not fit into the reality due to two reasons. One is that the streets were planned by point of view of both pedestrians and motorization. The other is that streets were complication by a lot of row and ordinance related road. That is why pedestrian and motorization are mixed. The study aimed at make a suggestion for improving walk space at radial street in Kurosaki district due to refer to related row and making cleared reality of walking using idea “width”. For reality of walk, we were carried out making cleared. First research target is an action avoiding obstacle in street. Second, research target is a sort of street and cross sections. Third, research target is available width whether or not and obstacle. In conclusion, at Kurosaki district a large number of walker take an action of avoiding. Then, we cleared sort and width what make walker take an action of avoiding. Based on these results, we research obstacle on street and considered why these exist there. The study makes a three suggestion for improving walk space.
