Abstract

Developments of Banjarmasin City today are giving less attention to their river system. The city had lost their river resources, culture, and their river image. Development orientation of the city has changed from river-base to land-base, which valued the rivers just as a complement not as a heart of living as before. Martapura river as one of the biggest river in Banjarmasin will be developed by “F[I03]ating : Reinventing the land of 1000 rivers” to developed infrastructure that integrate public space and housing in the settlement along the Martapura river that also house an organic water & waste management system, energy & food producing system. The infrastructure developments give an orientation to the river. Start with the revitalization of market dock. Continue by build the green-blue boulevard. Finish by build the city water terminal. This development will give local people a close-feeling connection to the water. They can easily orient themselves to the city or to the river by using the developed infrastructure. Finally with replication of the design proposal along the river will regain the lost image of the city as the city of thousand rivers.
