Abstract

There are many ways to achieve the city with low emissions. One of them is by reforming the urban transportation sector. There is a tendency, cities in developing countries have a private vehicle ownership growth are very high, as a result of an increase in social welfare. If this is allowed, it will cause problems at high fuel consumption which can increase air pollution. Therefore, improvement of urban transport by the development of public transport should be done to prevent high levels of air pollution. The delay to starting development of public transport will have consequences like a higher financing to improvement. Improvement of public transport should start from now, though should start from the small things. The rise of BRT Trans Bandar Lampung is momentum to start this reform. According from the KLH (Ministry of Environment) survey in 2014, the air pollution in the city of Bandar Lampung is so high, especially from the HC indicator. This indicates that as a result of pollution caused by vehicle emissions has been so high and that must be resolved through restrictions on ownership and use of automobile and motorcycle, and develop public transport.
