Bekasi, as one of industrial cities in Indonesia, has been developed since the concept of JABODETABEK came up through presidential instruction number 3 in 1976. As we know, the development of industry accounted for a large part in increasing CO2. Bekasi has contributed to emission of greenhouse gases. Emission trends in Bekasi based on data analysis studies conducted by BPLH in 2010 showed a rate of about 0.45 MT CO2-e per year. So, this city in 2010 resulted in emission approximately 15.2 MT CO2-e and contributed to national emission of 1.09%. This study focused on the need of land for Trembesi tree planting in Bekasi. The variables involved were (1). The amount of CO2 produced in Bekasi; (2). The amount of CO2 absorbed by a single stem of Trembesi tree (Samanea Saman). The matters of how many trees to be planted and how wide the area to balance the amount of CO2 produced by factories could be found by analyzing those variables. Thus, the analysis of an ideal city planning for Bekasi as one of industrial cities in Indonesia can be made accordingly.
