jailcd2016074: LSS Chronolux Application For The Building Form Design Simulation

Abstract

Google Sketchup is a design application which are usually used for 3D modeling program for a variety of jobs such as architecture, civil, mechanical, movies, and video game design. This application has been widely used, especially by undergraduate students because easy to use. Some of the advantages of Google SketchUp are worldwide use, 3D visual interesting, more quickly and easily to use than the other design application, and 3D application that is very light for a standards-based computer. Of the many advantages of Google SketchUp, there are also a lot of open source and plugins that support the performance of Sketchup. Some of them are LSS Chronolux, additional applications from Google sketch up that can be used as a simulation of the design on the site analysis phase. By using LSS Chronolux to facilitate the site analysis process that very influential in the design process so that the resulting design can be optimal and corresponding with the climatic conditions that occur at the site. This paper is intended to find zoning and building’s orientation in Junior High School of Al-Muttaqin foundation, Bandung, Indonesia.
