jailcd2015065: Study on the Operation of the Public Bicycle System in the City of Xuzhou, China

Abstract

In order to advocate low-carbon transportation, increasing numbers of public bicycle system are being built in cities all over the world. This public bicycle system can accommodate short distance transportation connect with public transportation system in a city and meanwhile the city of Xuzhou is regarded as the “north gate” of Jiangsu Province in China, which is an also important transportation hub. Recently, public bicycle system was also introduced in Xuzhou. As the scale becomes larger, there is no comprehensive man agement system for reference. As a result, there are many problems aroused, which become obstacles for the development of Xuzhou’s public bicycle system. Therefore it is important to study and find solution for the improvement of public bicycle system. Through this study, authors aimed to provide a comprehensive under standing of the management of this system. The result later could be used as a reference for establishing more completed and improved system management which could improve the quantity and quality of its ser vices.
