jailcd2015071: A Study On the Strategies in Urban Regeneration during China’s Transitional Period

Abstract

Under the background of marketization, globalization and the industrial structural transformation, urban regeneration has received wide attention with the rapid expansion of urban outer space and the structural adjustment to focus on the internal space of the city. With the changing of global climate and the problem of energy crisis has become increasingly serious, the construction of eco low-carbon city is becoming a new goal of the city government. The author explores the aim, principles and strategies of building low-carbon city in urban regeneration and argues that the aim of low-carbon development should impenetrate the whole process of urban regeneration, which contains comprehensive environmental control of sustainable urban renewal mode, the improvement of the efficiency of the urban spaces using, the urban traffic and travel pattern, the public building energy saving transformation and etc.
