jailcd2015077: The Arrangement Concept of Teluk Betung Fishing Settlement, Bandar Lampung

Abstract

Teluk Betung fishing settlement is located in Ikan Bawalstreet, Teluk Betung, on southern coastl area of Bandar Lampung city. In general, the economic growth of the city has been receiving contribution from the fishery sector. With this growth, the condition of public infrastructure has also been developing. However, the development of city has not been able to give the maximum positive influences towards the southern coastal area of the city. In addition, the condition of socio-economy and infrastructure facilities within this fishing settlementis still lacking. The result of observation shown that the condition of socio-economy of Teluk Betung fishermen is still left behind. It could be seen from the condition of housing in the coastal area of Teluk Betung which is categorized as semi permanent, the irregular development of settlement, and the lacking of awareness of public cleanness and health. The arrangement concept needs to be done by establishing the revitalization of fishing business as an independent economy development and basic infrastructure facilities of the settlement. On the other hand the arrangement of fishing settlementis needed to create a healty environment.
