This paper presents andoptimizes the annugheating, cooling, lighting andequipment energyconsumption associated with applying different types and properties of window systems in three differentforms (aspect ratio). Through using building simlation modeling, various window properties such asU-value, and solar heat gain coeffcient (SHGC) areevaluated with different window-to-floor ratios (WFR);zones of china: Shanghai. By means of a regressionand orientations in hot summer, cold winter climatwindow properties, building form and building energyanalysis, simple charts for the relationship betweenHGC, WFR, orientation and building form. As a designperformance are presented as a function of U-value.different office building forms, an optimized windowguideline in selecting energy saving windows foron detailed charts.
