Abstract

In order to enhance business opportunities for the rear area of the train station area in Hsinchu city, and improves the business district saturated land issue, this project planned to build a business hotel to coordinated with the train station urban planning program with consideration that science park workers and visitors would stay here and for traffic convenient. Combined with the local surrounding attractions and cultural characteristics the project attempts to improve the living environment within Hsinchu city. The development plan is divided into three parts according to the analysis. First, questionnaires were conducted to investigate environmental satisfaction of Hsinchu Zoo surrounding areas to understand people’s use patterns and preferences in the planning area and surrounding attractions. Second, the plan discussed the financial viability of the business hotel location development and analyzed the balance of payment situation. Third, the project used Geographic Information System for land suitability analysis; include natural disasters, transportation, public facilities, and etc. Finally, the project discussed whether the hotel location could cause environmental damage in order to provide living safety and comfort for environment and local residents to achieve the best efficiency for hotel developers.
