jailcd2016063: Evaluation on Non-use Value of Xixi Wetland Based on CVM

Abstract

[Objective] This study was to analyze the personal Willingness to Pay (WTP) on the non-use value of Xixi wetland and the influential factors. [Method] Questionnaire was designed according to the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) to investigate people at different ages of different occupations, education background, monthly income, etc., based on which the evaluation on non-use value of Xixi wetland was carried out. And the relationship between WTP and social characteristics were analyzed by using EXCEL and SPSS. [Conclusion] Overall satisfaction, importance and education background have a remarkable and positive impact on the WTP. The influence of overall significant, importance and gender on the amount to be paid is significant, but the fitting degree of linear equation is not satisfying. In addition, the non-use value of Xixi wetland is about 300 million yuan.
