Abstract

A heritage house "Zhou Yi Kee" is located in the "North Gate Street" of Hsinchu city, which is the most striking buildings in the area. In order to maintain the heritage of the house, and let it has new features, the project plan to convert the house into a cultural and creative shop. We hope in the creation of business to retain the memories of the local culture and residents as well as to combine local features and history to create a new cultural landmark. On the implementation level, the re-use of cultural asset should consider to include suitability and management-level considerations, therefore the research is to understand the financial feasibility and payment status of the development plan to consider the financial position of the cultural and creative store. Assumptions were made through sensitivity analysis and cash flow analysis. Through case studies and data collection of cost-effectiveness were made to assess the feasibility of the development.
