Abstract

Bridges  are  taken  for  granted  in  the  modern  world  as  utilitarian  structures  and  if noticed  at  all  are remarked upon mainly for the elegance of their engineering structures, but a mere couple of centuries ago many in Europe still had chapels in which prayers for a safe crossing could be said. In the Miao areas of south-west  China,  which remained remote until  around  two  decades  ago,  the  bridges  are  the  principal monuments, elaborately roofed and deco-rated with shrines to various gods, built with pride and at great local cost especially in the long history, it can exist for a long time and is hard to destroy. Our research began with the question according to by using the methods of consulting data, questionnaires and on-site measurement, we summarize the historical and cultural traditions, folk customs and the type of wind rain bridge.   In  this  paper,  the  modern  Wind-Rain  Bridge   Shuang  jiang   Bridge   is   analyzed,   and   the three-dimensional model is built by using CAD software. It makes it easier for us to understand the culture and construction methods of Wind-Rain Bridge in Chinese classical architecture.
