Abstract

With the increasing participation of robotic arm technology in construction industry in recent years,a higher- precision fabrication method and higher-efficiency fabrication mode has been brought to the industry. The combination of numerically controlled fabrication and parametric design method provides a new approach for the fabrication of complex curved surface projects. More importantly, this method also avoids the possibility of massive non-standard molds production material waste. This article studied a reciprocating wire-saw cutting process based on the technology of robotic arm, in order to cope with the freeform panel with high-precision and high-efficiency requirement. In this background, we designed a freeform decorative thermal composite insulation panel fabrication method. Right now, the whole process from design to fabrication have been tested in the laboratory. In term of fabrication, this paper summarizes the optimization scheme in this process, and provides a new idea for the subsequent test.
