Abstract

Environmental control is of very important to improve relics preservation environment in archaeology museum. Displacement ventilation control not only improves the thermal and humid environment stability of cultural relics preservation, but also saves energy consumption of system operation. However, the relics preservation area in archaeology museum is generally featuring non-internal heat source since there is no personnel and equipment. The primary factors that affect the thermal stratification of displacement ventilation system are the supply-air outlet, air outlet position and air parameters. In order to evaluate the influence of geometric structure of the supply-air outlet on the performance of displacement ventilation system in a relics preservation area, an experimental research was conducted in this paper. Three experimental tests were carried out to study the distribution characteristics of temperature and humidity, wind speed and experimental system energy consumption. The results show that the change of effective length of supply-air outlet has negligible effect on the distribution of the temperature, humidity and wind speed in the inner area of burial pit. In addition, the energy consumption of the local control system decreases with the decrease of the effective supply-air outlet length.
