With the continuous development of industrialization in the world, with the increasing of urban power consumption and peak power consumption, the gap between peak and valley power supply has been widened, which is not conducive to the safe operation of power grid. Demand side management is an effective way to solve such problems. This paper mainly analyses the implementation methods of DSM, mainly including administrative means, technical means and economic means. Research on the three dependent variables of annual electricity consumption, GDP (electricity intensity) and peak and valley electricity consumption by the linear regression analysis of SPSS software. By analyzing the significant level of the impact ofvarious demand side management methods on cities and their practical application effects, to obtain effective power demand side management strategies. It is hoped that it can be used for reference in China's DSM and related research.
