Zen is a Buddhist belief that affects all aspects of people's lives, especially in architecture, the basic concept of zen is the application of the concept of emptiness and simplicity to buildings that are designed. The development of zen is very rapid, namely in Japan and the place of origin of this flow is found, but at this time the development of zen has been global as for example in Germany and Indonesia with predetermined characteristics. Whereas contemporary style is a basic concept of design that is trending in the present or the present by displaying simplicity but still looks elegant and modern, not only minimalist style but contemporary style also has a close relationship and connection with the zen concept.
