Abstract

Technology is one form of civilization. Human production and community activities are now facilitated by technological developments, which require us to act and think quickly. Especially if we look into infrastructure, technology is needed to accelerate the development process. This study examines the character of the society that can hinder a nation's development. The purpose of this study is to provide a general picture of culture and development. The focus of this research is directed at the study of the culture of the community which inhibits the course of development. As for the background of this writing because some people who live in Indonesia, especially some small areas in Bandung still adhere to the customs and culture left by their ancestors. So that it often creates stagnation in terms of development carried out by the government.
