Abstract

“Mosquito Halls”, an issue about publicly constructed facilities that quickly fall into disuse, had caused lots of public discussions, especially, how to refurbish its disuse space become not only an architecture issue but also an urban one in a region. “Resources of local  Sightseeing and industry” now also become the opportunities  for  those  counties  of Taiwan  with  weakness  on  economic  to  re-strengthen  their  financial situation. Beigang is a small tradition town, which located at Yunlin county, southern Taiwan, with rich traditional  culture,  sightseeing  resources  and historical  assets.  Its  richness  on  local  culture,  sightseeing, religion …in all different aspect, provide us different direction to seeking the possible solutions when dealing with the refurbishment design of the abandon market which sitting right next to the center of town and also the major religious center of Beigang,  『Chao-Tian Temple』.
