jailcd2019-028: An Analysis on the Global Urbanization Trends and Sustainable Development

Abstract

Urbanization has a clear role in promoting social and economic development, which on average, the standards  is higher  in urban populations  over  in rural. And the  carrying  capacity  of the  city  will  face unprecedented challenges in all aspects. In order to make the world research progress reviews on urbanization sufficiently, we began to sort out the research trends and keywords of urbanization issues in relevant literature which were selected from CNKI databases, the SCI and SSCI databases by using HistCite software. Then based on the above results, we analyzed the main perspectives include socio-economic, resources and energy consumption and human settlement environment to discuss the urbanization trends and urban sustainable development on the basis of United Nations data resources.
