Abstract

When the rapid development of urbanization and the rapid expansion of urban scale in China, the balance between traditional block space and microclimate has been broken. In this paper, the relationship between spatial  characteristics  and  microclimate  elements  was  studied.in  Xi’an  city.  The research  first  selects  8 observation points with different spatial properties in the block area, and measures the space height to width ratio for these observation points. Then use ENVI-MET to carry out microclimate simulation on the outer space of the block, and obtain the temperature values of each observation point in the daytime. Finally, analyze the temperature in different spaces and explore the correlation between space and temperature. According to the  conclusions  of  the  study,  urban  design  strategies  were  proposed  and  improved  the  microclimate environment of this neighborhood.
