Abstract

With the increasing popularity of low carbon buildings, it is often accompanied by the emergence of "passive buildings". The perfect explanation of passive building in our country is that it is a low energy building which combines various passive energy saving means such as self heating ventilation, natural daylighting, solar radiation and heat gain from indoor non heating heat source with high efficiency energy saving technology of building envelope. The design project is located near Guiyuan Temple in Hanyang District, Wuhan Wuhan climate belongs to subtropical monsoon humid climate, which is extremely hot in summer and cold in winter. Taking the design of community activity center as an example, from the passive design point of view, through the air heating principle of "overhead at the bottom floor" and "transparent atrium", the "stack effect" is formed to achieve the effect of natural ventilation, reduce the energy consumption of air conditioning equipment and meet the requirements of low carbon.
