Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to improve the quality of primary and secondary school teaching environment, and to reduce the cost of energy-saving building design using passive energy-saving technologies, and to develop a design method for primary and secondary school buildings that meets the "low-carbon" goal. The study is based on four dimensions: building form design, sun-shading components, envelope structure design and passive solar energy use, and adds energy-saving measures for different spatial patterns of primary and secondary school buildings with reference to building models. The study adopts the form of the division of climate zones of Chinese regional characteristics in Building Climatology to simulate the energy consumption of teaching buildings with different passive energy-saving measures in the ventilation and shading type climate zones and to evaluate the energy-saving effect. Finally, according to different spatial patterns, specific energy-saving measures are proposed as appropriate in the design of three types of teaching buildings of open north side single-exterior corridor type, open north side single-exterior corridor type and double-exterior corridor type. According to the data results, the energy saving rate of the building can reach 30.29% after using the above energy saving measures superimposed and optimizing the design of the building space.
