Keywords:
Riverbank, E River, RedesignAbstract
The river area is visualized as one of the ecological land uses, where the carrying capacity of the land to the morphology of the river needs to be considered. The E River is one of the rivers in the city of Kitakyushu, Japan. The river flows along the railway area of Honjo Station to Hikiji Bridge (曳地橋). Riverbanks close to the main road are often used as a means of community activities such as exercising, walking, cycling, etc. However, the area on the other side of the riverbank which is close to the railroad tracks has not been well organized, for example, some roads for pedestrians have started to deteriorate and overgrown with wild plants around the route. The main objective of this research is to develop land facilities that are less well-organized into a more attractive and attractive area, so that road users can carry out more interactive activities on the banks of this river. This study uses a combination research method between qualitative-grounded theory and quantitative methods by conducting regional redesign experiments. The results of this study are in the form of redesign concept and plan drawings of the E River Area.Downloads
