jailcd2023024: A Review of the Study on the BEST Program Software for Energy-efficient Housing in Japan
Keywords:
Building energy efficiency, Energy Consumption SimulationAbstract
In the background of carbon neutrality, the Japanese government has proposed that the energy efficiency performance of new housing after 2030 should reach the ZEH standard level, and the energy consumption of residential buildings is now the focus of research. Based on The BEST Program energy simulation software repository, this study summarizes and analyzes the research results related to residential buildings from four research objects: storage battery, the envelope structure, building orientation & form, and building equipment. The study found that most studies on the renovation of old houses, fewer studies on the analysis and energy consumption of new residential buildings before construction which is essential; many studies on the energy demand of building forms, and a lack of studies on the effect of building orientation on sunlight and natural ventilation; the coupling and linkage between the software functions of each version needs to be strengthened. By analyzing the four research subjects, this study provides a theoretical basis and research foundation for future scholars using the software, suggests improvements to BEST, and contributes to the construction of residential energy efficiency.Downloads
