Abstract

Chinese traditional residence adapt to local conditions and materials, reflecting local customs and practices, and are closely related to the lives of local residents. They are valuable historical and cultural heritage. Under the background of advocating green and energy saving, with scholars' extensive attention to indoor light environment, the natural light environment in traditional residential buildings has also been paid attention to. Through the research, it is found that there are still many deficiencies in the utilization of natural light environment in traditional residential buildings, mainly including low indoor brightness, uneven illumination distribution and glare. In order to further improve the natural light environment of traditional residential buildings and enhance the visual comfort of residents, this paper analyzes the natural light environment of traditional residential buildings such as northern courtyard houses, folk houses in southern Anhui and Hakka earth buildings, studies the current utilization status of natural light environment of different traditional residential buildings and the factors affecting lighting, and then proposes targeted strategies to improve the light environment. It advocates combining new technology to improve indoor light environment and provides theoretical guidance and design reference for the future optimization and renovation of natural light environment of traditional residential buildings.
