With the slogan of "Revitalization of historic district" put forward, historical buildings have been paid more and more attention. However, most of the current renovation projects are limited to the renovation of architectural form and style, and pay little attention to the improvement of architectural performance. The renovated building would also produce huge energy consumption, and even have a serious impact on the use of the building due to the defects of the original skin structure. It is difficult to meet the current national advocacy of low carbon requirements. In this paper, Qingdao Liyuan is taken as the research object. By analyzing the surface structure and performance defects of the Liyuan building, this paper explores the appropriate mode of optimizing the surface structure of the Liyuan building with the help of the existing excellent renovation schemes, and summarizes the skin renovation schemes that can improve the thermal performance of the building, reduce the building energy consumption and maintain the style of the historic district, in order to provide theoretical reference for the renovation of the Liyuan building performance.Downloads
