Abstract

The construction of sustainable cities and communities is one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The building carbon emission is a key issue in recent years. It is related to the realization of dual carbon goals and quality of life. Rural residential buildings have great potential in carbon reduction. Prefabricated light steel buildings(PLB) are useful in economy, social development, and environmental sustainability. This paper studied on the carbon emission reduction effect and cost of light steel construction technology based on the prefabricated light steel buildings in rural areas from Zhejiang. The current paper study the relevant theories and development by literature analysis. It provided a basis for further
PLB in China and other similar areas.
