jailcd2024024: Overview of Green Space organization in Ecological Cities of Hanoi Capital, Vietnam

Abstract

Green space is an integral part of urban structure; not only contributes to establishing a healthy living environment, and balancing the ecological system but also plays a significant role in the sustainable development of the region. In the current context of urbanization, particularly crucial for the capital city of Hanoi, as it strives to achieve the goal of becoming a “Green-Smart-Modern” city by 2030. Additionally, green space in ecological urban areas is an essential element, requiring organized planning to create a unified according to specific criteria. The general planning project for the ecological towns of Quoc Oai, Chuc Son,
and Phuc Tho until 2030 has identified the direction of urban development to transform into ecological towns following the overall planning direction for the construction of Hanoi Capital, Vietnam. The selection of three above-mentioned ecological towns as subjects for studying the application of research results on green space organization will greatly support Hanoi, Vietnam, in general, and specific cities in constructing the structure of urban areas according to ecological urban criteria. For those reasons, a study on the Overview of Ecological
Urban Areas (inheritance) and the organization of green space in ecological urban areas of Hanoi Capital, Vietnam is necessary.
