This study investigates the determinants of health behaviors among office workers, focusing on the influence of perceived behavioral control (PBC), as opposed to traditional emphasis on attitudes (ATT) and subjective norms (SN). Utilizing a comprehensive model grounded in the Theory of Planned Behavior and Norm Activation Theory, the research analyzes questionnaire responses and statistical data from a sample of educated office employees. The results demonstrate a predominant role of PBC in shaping health behavior intentions, with a standardized coefficient of 0.449, indicating a significant departure from previous findings where ATT was often deemed most influential. The study contributes to the understanding of health behavior dynamics in workplace environments, suggesting a need for tailored interventions and policies that enhance PBC to promote healthier lifestyles among office workers.
