jailcd2024033: Research on the Application of Radiative Cooling Technology in Buildings
Keywords:
Radiative cooling, Building energy efficiency, Application progressAbstract
Radiative cooling is an energy-efficient method of providing below-ambient temperature cooling to the exterior surfaces of buildings, which may provide a new way of thinking to cope with the energy crisis and global warming. In recent years, sub-ambient daytime radiative sky cooling has been effectively realized due to breakthroughs in materials science, which has greatly stimulated research interest in this field. This paper reviews the current state of development of radiative cooling technology, covering the basic principles, materials, integration with buildings, analyzing its energy saving potential and focusing on the challenges facing the technology in its current research and application. In today's increasingly severe energy situation and environmental problems, exploring the application of radiative cooling technology in building energy efficiency is expected to help China's carbon peak and carbon neutral development.
